Portgás, a founding member of Forum Portugal Global

Portgás, S.A. was formed in 1986 and since 1991 and for a 35 year period it holds the concession of natural gas distribution for northern Portugal, a market of 230 thousand consumers. The development of the project is estimated to cost $200 million.

The firm is represented in Forum Portugal Global by its president, António Gomes de Pinho, a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, former Member of Parliament and leader of the Christian Democratic Party parliamentary group, former Secretary of State for Culture. He is currently on the board of Setgas - the concessionary for Southern Portugal. He is also on the board of the Serralves Foundation, dedicated to cultural affairs.
