Somague, a founding member of Forum Portugal Global

The Somague group is currently composed of 12 firms, organized around the holding company Somague SGPS, which includes the relevant participations in Lusoponte and in Banco Privado Português. The core business of the group has traditionally been construction activity, in particular Somague - Sociedade de Construções S.A., but a strategy of sustained diversification has been followed. Environment, energy and transportation are vital areas for development.
This led to the purchase in 1993 of CESL, the largest portuguese group in the environment sector, with about 70% of sales outside Portugal.

The group is represented in Forum Portugal Global by Diogo Vaz Guedes, a graduate in business administration from the Catholic University of Portugal who became a Member of the Executive Board in 1993. He also chairs CESL and Termague and he is on the Board of Somague SGPS. He belongs to the Catholic University of Portugal Alumni Association and is a Member of the Executive Board of FPG.
